CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

Sunday school is from 9:00 – 9:45 a.m. Church school classes for children, youth, and adults meet. Classes are focused on integrating Biblical truth into our lives and relationships considering the pressures and demands of contemporary society.
Special mid-week classes – As scheduled throughout the year, classes are held on weekdays during the day or evenings. These classes are frequently taught by our Pastor and cover a wide variety of topics and provide opportunity for enlightening discussion.
Youth – In addition to church school opportunities, our youth participate in Presbytery-wide youth camps, conferences, and other events at
Presbyterian facilities such as Mo Ranch. They also meet as a group at our church to prepare religious presentations during worship, fundraisers, game nights, and other fellowship building experiences.
Nursery and toddler care – Each Sunday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 11:15 St. Luke’s nursery and play area is open for infants and toddlers. Our nursery is bright and well maintained. Childcare personnel are all Red Cross certified in infant/child CPR and first aid. In addition to staffing the nursery for church school and worship on Sundays, it is available on a reservation basis for other church events.
Church library – Our library includes reference books, religious literature, fiction, videos, and a large selection of children’s books. It is open on Sunday mornings and weekday mornings when the office is open.

Why should I come to Church School?

You might be asking this question. After all, you could be sleeping in, or playing golf, or reading the newspaper, or. . . the choices are many.
Church School is a place to learn about our relationship with God. He wants to be known by each of us.
Church School is a time to come together with other seekers and believers. These “fellow pilgrims on the journey,” share experiences and insights; and together they see where God is working in each other’s lives.
Church School is a place to strengthen bonds to the church family. This family loves and cares about one another and is there to support each other in good times and bad.
